John Harding

Lecturer in the School of Architecture, University of Reading

John Harding has over twenty years’ experience across architectural practice and academia, with a focus on using computational design methods that enhance the use of natural materials in construction.
Following his doctorate at the University of Bath, John led the Computational Design team at Ramboll Engineers in London, focussing on material form-finding and optimisation. He is part of the Architects Climate Action Network Embodied Carbon group, with a strong interest in the digital fabrication of architectural structures using biomaterials such as cellulose, timber and earth.
