Biography

Fernanda Pino Delgado is a Geophysicist and Climatologist specialising in Climate Risk for adaptation and resilience. She has contributed as a climate expert to Chile’s National Climate Change Adaptation Plan for Oceans and Fisheries, and is currently developing future climate projections and climate risk storylines for Lebanon’s Adaptation Plan within the UNEP Transboundary Programme at The Pearl. Her work integrates climate science, data and hazard analysis, science communication, and stakeholder engagement to support evidence-based adaptation planning. Fernanda has over six years of climate data analysis, five years of experience in science communication with NGOs and four years in university teaching. She is passionate about climate research that brings societal benefits through early warnings, risk-informed decision making, and resilience building.
